Pump Soap
It may sound strange to bring your own soap, but hotels usually only provide bar soap. The problem? Little hands tend to have a hard time holding onto bar soap, causing it to slip out and fly across the counter top. Pump soap makes it easier for everyone to wash their hands and reduces the chaos at the sink.

A favorite item of ours to buy at Dollar Tree before a vacation is a “Magic Towel”. It comes condensed into a heart, circle, or square shapes and “grows” when it gets wet. Kids love using their own special washcloth during bath time, and they are small and easy to pack! Magic Towels come with many different characters printed on them, including those from Nickelodeon, Disney, and Marvel.
Travel Toiletries
The toiletries section at Dollar Tree is great! There are many brands available they cost less than buying them at a drug store. The best part is all of these containers fit the 3-1-1 TSA liquids rule, which means you can pack them in your carry-on.

This is our favorite product from Dollar Tree! What do you do with your dirty clothes when on vacation? Instead of throwing them back into your suitcase in a jumbled mess or tossing them into a corner of the hotel room, use this pop-up laundry basket! It is a great way to keep your room cleaner and more organized. It is perfect for travel because it folds up small enough to throw in your carry-on.
We always make sure to have one in our suitcase before we go on vacation. Added bonus: If you are staying somewhere that has a laundry facility available (like the Walt Disney World resorts), you can transport your clothing easily, instead of using a plastic bag.
Over-the-Door Hook
Most hotels have one thing in common: There never seems to be enough hooks to hang up wet bath towels or bathing suits! Throw this on a bathroom or closet door and, voila! Now you have a better chance of your swimsuit drying before you have to put it on again. And we all know, there is nothing worse than putting on a wet bathing suit!

Even the most seasoned traveler can feel uncomfortable staying in a new location. Fancy water bottles are nice, but I do not trust my kids enough to buy them one! Can you count on one hand how many water bottles your kids have lost over the years? I know I can’t. That’s why these water bottles from Dollar Tree are perfect for vacations. They may get left behind at a park or restaurant, but for only a dollar, it’s an easy loss to swallow.
Glow Sticks
Glow sticks are an excellent way to entertain a child at night! While waiting for a table at a restaurant or for a parade at an amusement park, pull some out and watch a smile appear! Bracelets, necklaces, glasses, wands; glow sticks come in many shapes and sizes. Grab a bunch and throw them in your bag. You never know when they’ll come in handy!
