Diggerland Location and Parking
Located at 100 Pinedge Dr., West Berlin, NJ 08091, Diggerland is approximately 45 minutes from Philadelphia and about 2 hours from both Baltimore and New York City. On-site parking is available at no cost. The parking lot is adjacent to the park entrance for easy in and out.
Admission to Diggerland USA
Unlike many amusement parks, Diggerland prices its admission based on height, rather than age. Guests over 42 inches tall pay the full price, while guests 36-42 inches tall pay a slightly discounted price. Even better, children under 36 inches are FREE and so are non-participating guests over 65 years old.
Diggerland offers discounted tickets if you purchase in advance online. If you think you’ll be visiting more than once a year, buy the annual membership, which is less than the price of two visits.
Diggerland Rides and Attractions
Diggerland USA is not your average theme park. Almost all of the rides and attractions are made from real construction vehicles. Many of the attractions allow kids to either drive or ride around in actual trucks!
Operate and Drive Construction Vehicles
A vast majority of the park allows children and their parents to drive or operate construction vehicles. Do you kids love digging in the dirt? Try the Big Diggers or Mini Diggers for kid-friendly excavating! Children love pretending to drive, but at Diggerland, they can get behind the wheel of many vehicles, including tractors and and road rollers. Off-road vehicles, like the Argo pictured above, let kids and parents go on a fun, wild ride in a safe, controlled environment.
Rides Converted from Construction Trucks
The rides at Diggerland are one-of-a-kind! You won’t find these rides at any other amusement park because they were converted from actual construction trucks. Dump trucks, excavators, and telescopic handlers are just a few of the vehicles made into fun rides.
Other Attractions
There are not just trucks at Diggerland! A playground, a rock wall, and a ropes course are also available for kids big and small to climb and play on. The ropes course is four stories tall and is one of the tallest in the world! If you have a fear of heights, you can stay on the lower levels.
Soaring Eagle Zipline
One of the newest attractions at Diggerland is the Soaring Eagle Zipline. A seated ride, guests are pulled up 130 feet off the ground and then soar back down on a 700-foot zipline. Please note, this attraction is not included in the ticket price and must be purchased separately. You can buy tickets to the zipline at many locations throughout the park.
The Water Main Water Park
Diggerland USA’s newest attraction, The Water Main, is set to open Memorial Day in 2020. The two-acre outdoor water park will feature two pools, water slides, and other aquatic fun for kids big and small! Plenty of chairs, tables, and even private cabanas, will surround the water area.
Food Options at Diggerland
Diggerland USA has three separate food stands in the park. The Lunch Pail, the primary eatery, is centrally located in the park with a large, climate-controlled dining pavilion adjacent. The ropes course area has additional outdoor seating. There are two smaller food stands situated on opposite ends of the park. They have a more limited menu than the Lunch Pail.
Parties and Team Building Events
Birthday Parties
Children love to have construction themed birthday parties. Parents can make it even better by throwing a party at a construction themed amusement park! Diggerland makes it easy for parents to organize and host a party. They offer several packages to personalize it to budget and length.
Diggerland XL
It is not just kids who love to play in the dirt! Diggerland XL is an addition to the park strictly for adults. Smash a car, bulldoze down mountains, and pick up heavy loads during your get-together. Whether it is a birthday party or a team-building event, adults can learn and have fun while operating the full-sized construction vehicles.
Things to Keep in Mind
- Diggerland is an open environment, much like a construction site. There are few trees on the property; however, there are many strategically placed umbrellas and awnings to help keep you cool.
- Lines move slowly. Due to the nature of the park, construction vehicles move slowly, and thus so do the lines.
- There is no outside food permitted into the park except for an unopened water bottle.
- You will be exposed to dirt. As the park theme is based on a construction site, many of the attractions are on dirt courses that guests have to walk on. Wear shoes that you don’t mind getting a little messy.
- Keep in mind height requirements. Many of the rides and attractions require an adult to be present on the ride if a child is under 42 inches tall.
